The TNI Commander, Admiral Yudo Margono, asked three TNI soldiers, the suspect in the abuse of a youth from Aceh, Imam Masykur (25), to be sentenced to the maximum, namely the death penalty.
Kapuspen TNI Rear Admiral Julius Widjojono said the TNI Commander was concerned and would oversee the case.
“The TNI commander is concerned and will oversee this case so that the perpetrators are given strict punishment, maximum death penalty, minimum life sentence,” he said, Monday (28/8).
Julius added, Yudo requested that if the three soldiers were not sentenced to death they should be given life imprisonment. Because the case can be categorized as premeditated murder. “The minimum is a life sentence because it includes serious crimes, planning a murder,” he continued.
Kapuspen also emphasized that the TNI Commander had ordered three TNI soldiers including one member of the Paspampres Praka RM in the case of the persecution of a young man from Aceh, Imam Masykur (25) to be fired.
“Definitely fired from the TNI. Fire is certain. That’s a clear order from the TNI Commander,” said Julius. Previously, Pomdam Jaya had named three TNI soldiers as suspects in the alleged kidnapping and torture to death of a young man from Bireuen Regency, Aceh Imam Masykur (25).
One suspect is known to be a member of Paspampres, Praka RM. “Three suspects have been arrested,” said Danpomdam Jaya Colonel Cpm Irsyad Hamdie Bey Anwar when confirmed, Monday (28/8/2023).
